Dear Prospective Sponsor,
We invite you to review the mission of ProWomen.org (PWA)
below and help us reach out to more professionals
needing assistance by becoming a sponsor for our annual
fundraiser. This year we are delighted to hold Golf and
Tennis Celebrity Challenge Tournaments at Chateau Élan
Winery and Resort (45 minutes North of Atlanta off
I-85), Saturday, July 26 to help raise funds to reach
important goals and objectives in 2008. The festivities
begin at 8:00 am followed by an awards luncheon
beginning at 12:30 pm.men.org) is an Atlanta-based
501(c)(3) organization with tax exempt status that
provides assistance to professionals dealing with
unreported harassment issues at work.
Professional Women’s Anonymous (PWA/ProWo
PWA was founded in May 2007 by M. “Sandi” Aigoro. After
many years of corporate witnessing first-hand the impact
that harassment has on employees and organizations,
Sandi discovered and realized that there was a great
need for change in current practices. She envisioned a
safety net (a neutral forum) that allowed professionals
to openly express harassment issues and occurrences
outside the corporate work environment without career
impacting consequences. By incorporating a volunteer
based team, advisors and large network of affiliated
professional organizations, PWA offers a non-legal,
confidential alternative for work harassment victims
through statistical research and reporting, media
management, corporate diversity certifications and
education to encourage proactive actions by employers
and employees.
Our Mission:
Assist
professionals experiencing unreported harassment
Philosophy:
Remain
neutral while respecting all views and individual
rights
Vision:
Support
harassment resolution; provide Service
to individuals and corporations with harassment
management; and demonstrate Strength to do
the right thing for the right reasons
Our mission and this model also considered that many
women and men harassment victims feared loss of respect
from their peers, isolation, retaliation or guilt from
causing someone else to lose their job, being labeled as
a troublemaker, not being a ‘team player’ or incurring
other negative stigmatizations.
PWA provides a two-prong model that centers on
technology and education as the focal point for
delivering services that provide anonymity for community
participants. Our assistance is directed to both either
individuals seeking assistance in dealing with workplace
or harassment or employers pursuing assessment services
and accreditation. PWA’s strategy is to create a
confidential communications forum for professionals to
discuss report and resolve harassment anonymously. |
