Deborah Britt Roebuck has focused on developing ethical leaders through her expertise in business communication, executive coaching and mentoring, and business consulting throughout her 25-year career.  Her innovative approaches and interactive style complement her role as coach, mentor, speaker, and facilitator.  She has worked in service, manufacturing and public sector environments across a broad range of industries to collaborate with clients to enhance work productivity and relationships.   
 

She began leading the Siegel Institute in 2006 following her 20-year tenure in academics at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at KSU.  At Coles, she served as Chair of the Department of Leadership and Professional Development, Director of the Executive MBA Programs, and Professor of Management, where she served as an award-winning educator in organizational behavior, business communication, and leadership.

 
Through extensive publications as an author and presentations as a speaker, she has strived to increase public understanding of ethical leadership across the nation.  She has authored four editions of the text book, Improving Business Communication Skills, and published 24 articles in journals and proceedings. Her presentations on ethical leadership and business communication topics have carried her to regional, national and international conferences.  
 
 

Dr. Roebuck serves on the advisory boards of Coles Executive Education Programs, American Pen Women’s Organization, and ProWin.  She is a Registered Corporate Coach and serves as a mentor for Pathbuilders Achieva.  Dr. Roebuck’s professional affiliations include: Academy of Management, American Pen Women’s Organization, Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, Atlanta Business Women’s Network, Association for Business Communication, Association of Leadership Educators Inc., Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, Delta Pi Epsilon, Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, Professional Women’s Information Network, and Society of Compliance and Ethics. 

 
Dr. Roebuck earned her Ph.D. in Business Education from Georgia State University.  She holds a master’s degree and B.S. degree from Northeast Missouri State University (now known as Truman State University). Dr. Roebuck is a qualified administrator and facilitator of the following assessments:  Hermann Brain Dominance Inventory, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the NEO-PR, Workplace Big Five, and a certified Covey facilitator for the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Building Trust for Kennesaw State University.  She also holds a lifetime teaching certification from the states of Missouri and Iowa.
