Traci Newman Vice President at Wachovia Bank amassed 20 years in banking. In 2007, she finished in the top 30 bankers in the company; and headed up the GA Chamber Membership Drive and was awarded Rookie of the Year by this organization.

Prior to joining Wachovia’s leadership team, Ms. Newman held key banking roles in several banks including Colonial Bank in Carrollton, GA, as Area President-West Georgia Area where she established a local Board of Directors and held monthly meetings and generated $12MM in new loans in 2003. As Vice President of the Commercial Banking Department at Regions Bank in Douglasville, GA, Ms. Newman managed $25 MM portfolio and developed approximately $10MM in new loans for the bank.

Ms. Newman’s earlier work included Vice President of Commercial Banking Departments at West Georgian National Bank in Carrollton, GA where she managed a $30MM portfolio and 225 relationships; the Buckhead Bank in Atlanta, GA for Commercial & Private Banking where she generated $7MM in new business before taking maternity leave. In 1998, she was also actively involved in the 1998 Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman’s campaign.

In her earliest banking experience, Ms. Newman was Vice President in Private Banking for Suntrust Bank in Atlanta, GA, and prior to that she supported Wachovia in several positions including Vice President-Private Banking Loan Administration, Vice President and Team Leader-Professional Banking, Senior Commercial Lender-Gwinnett County and Southeast Bank, N.A. in Tampa, FL as a Corporate Banking Officer.

In 1995, Ms. Newman received her Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University. Prior to that time, in 1987, she received a Bachelors of Science from Florida State University.
